Security agents of Hai Phong City prevented visitors from visiting prisoner of conscience Pham Thanh Nghien

CTV Danlambao - At 2:50 pm on August 1, 2013, a combined security team from local ward, district and Hai Phong City stopped and briefly detained Dr. Pham Hong Son, Mr. Phan Trong Khang, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nga - the wife of prisoner of conscience Nguyen Xuan Nghia, and facebooker Song Que, when they attempted to visit the prisoner of conscience Pham Thanh Nghien.

Talking to reporter of Danlambao, Ms. Pham Thanh Nghien said, "Dr. Pham Hong Son, Mr. Phan Trong Khang and facebooker Song Que were coming to visit me this afternoon after making a visit to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nga. When they arrived at the alley way in front of my house, they were stopped by a team of plainclothes security agents. Security agents required the guests to show their ID card, and then prevented them from visiting me."

When asked about the current status of the guests, Ms. Pham Thanh Nghien said, "I just contact Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga and she said that everyone was safe; police released them but did not allow anyone to visit me. Currently they are on their way back to Hanoi."

Talking about the behavior of security agents of Hai Phong City, Ms. Pham Thanh Nghien said, "I feel uncomfortable and think it’s funny about the attitude of security agents of Hai Phong City. Every single time my friends come to visit me; they use tricks to prevent them. This is not the first time they do it to me. Previously, on the day of the first trial of the family of Mr. Doan Van Vuon, whose farm land was robbed by local authorities, they had prevented Mr. Ngo Nhat Dang, Mr. Nguyen Lan Thang, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Vi, etc. They also stop and harass my family members when they visit me."

Reportedly, Security office of Hai Phong City has assigned many agents to monitor her house since July 27, 2013. Currently, a large security team is working nonstop at her block to isolate the prisoner of conscience Pham Thanh Nghien from the outside world.
